The Outdoor Adventures Student Instructor Series (OASIS) was created for students who wish to pursue outdoor leadership and instruction opportunities & learn the skills to teach outdoor adventures to others, whether for Outdoor Adventures, summer camps, guide services, or others.

Taught by the full-time staff of Outdoor Adventures, This series is a tmixture of classroom, on-campus, and field-based instructor training to help students learn the technical skills, but more importantly instructional methodology for teaching these skills and managing groups in the field.  This series is taught over the course of a typical academic year.

This is a separate training UM students pay to attend. If students have the skills and experiences, they do not need to take all of the OASIS course to work for OA leading adventure trips.
